Panzerballett is a German jazz-metal quintet from Munich, formed in 2004 by guitarist Jan Zehrfeld. Their style blends jazz fusion, funk, and extreme progressive metal with complex polyrhythms and virtuosic performances. Known for creative covers of songs by Meshuggah, Deep Purple, and The Simpsons, they have released 8 studio albums on ACT Records, including Planet Z (2020) and Übercode (2025). The band features Jan Zehrfeld (lead guitars), Joe Doblhofer (rhythm guitars), Heiko Jung (bass), Alexander von Hagke (saxophone), and Sebastian Lanser (drums).
