Fine power prog metal from Italy, this is an original band, their music includes neoclassical and epic passages, they got influences of the best melodic prog power metal bands, the music is leaded by the keyboardist and the guitarist; Five musicians composed Exawatt, Luca Benni, the vocalist, sings with a distinguished voice, strong voice and moving; The keyboardist, Andrea Corsetti, plays very well, orchestrations, solos, piano parts and fast scales; Daniele Palloni, the guitarist, electric and acoustic guitars, heavy and soft harmonies, fast and progressive rhythms, great solos and fast scales; Francesco Strappaveccia, the bassist, notable musician, great work, the drummer, Stefano Coletti, sometimes rhythmic, sometimes arrhythmic; toms, cymbals, percussions and drum programming, he plays everything; the album is good, over 67 minutes of ppm, ten songs, diversity in each one, for a little moments alike Symphony X, Times Requiem, Skylark and Stratovarius.

Power of fate begins with an instrumental intro, keys orchestration, Luca’s starts to sing, heavy song, progressive, two and a half minutes of a musical part, includes a great guitar solo followed by heavy harmonies, the keys are fantastic, I don’t understand the soprano’s sings, I think that don’t be appropriated for the music, for the song, matter of preferences; heretic begins with guitar harmonies accompanied by Stefano‘s drums, then appears Andrea‘s keys, sounds like Pinella’s of Symphony X in the begin, later he shows his musical knowledge, next, Francesco plays his bass, great sound, Luca’s voice appear, the guitars harmonies continues, Daniele includes acoustic guitars; as the sun sets down melodic rhythm in the music, contagious chorus that makes that you likes the song (where are you now? It‘s been so long…), Luca shows his voice, suddenly the music turns progressive, fast keyboards, drums percussions and bass, they incorporated Latin rhythms and sings, like Angra, nice song; on the wings keyboard intro followed by the guitar, Luca sounds like Shadow Gallery’s singer, good voice, other facet of Luca, Exawatt, talented musicians, just listening at the three minutes of this track, great guitar followed by fast keyboards and bass, Stefano on his own rhythm, is a really good musical part; odissea veneziana instrumental song, starts with neoclassical piano (alike Eddie Antonini) followed by the guitar, the Andrea and Daniele make the best part, rapid drums by Stefano, they show their capacity to make extraordinary prog power metal, great solos; dungeon dance starts with drum programming and heavy guitar riffs, followed by keys, many changes in the rhythm, more keys, progressive power metal is here, key’s solo followed by guitar solo, next, the prog appears, power metal is back and prog to end the song; out of me guitar distortion, followed by keys, drums, bass and keys effects, Luca’s voice accompanied by a loud guitar, chorus that sounds repetitive and not so good, good guitar solo followed by progressive guitar and drums, followed by the keys; in synapse they include the voice of Michela Panacci, who sings angelically, her voice is accompanied by drum programming, great start for the song, melancholic prog power metal, Luca’s sings incredibly, Daniele and Stefano makes the rhythm, guitar with keys, next, keys and guitar, for me this is best song; my silver tears great sentiment of Daniele, he recorded two guitars, sounds very well, Luca’s good voice again, very moving, this is accompanied by the hi hat, Francesco’s bass appears, it’s accompanied by keys that sounds like Pinella’s keys, extraordinary sound of the keys orchestration, painful guitar solo, next, neoclassical keys similar to Richard Andersson, progressive is here, moving voice again followed by the guitar, shine to end the song, excellent theme; sigh in time The long play ends with progressive, drums, guitars, bass, followed by keys orchestration, prog metal by Exawatt, Luca’s voice, keys, prog drums, melodic guitar with fast scales, the song turns to power metal, and then progressive again, the album is good, this band promises a lot for a future releases, I’m sure that their best work is start to come, be attentive of Exawatt.
