Exploring the boundaries of music is what this album is all about. The Fractured Dimension are Jimmy Pitts on Piano, Keys, Jerry Twyford on Bass and Alex Arellano on Drums. They have also gathered some amazing musical talent including the amazing Ron Jarzombek and the Dutch guitar whiz Marcel Coenen and thats just to name a few. What we have here is a blend of Fusion, Jazz, Classical, Prog metal all played with incredible quality, these guys are truly some of the greatest musicians of the genre!!
The album is paying homage to the 19th century Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, I'm not to familiar with him. We also have Violin, Saxaphone and trumpet to add to the great atmosphere. Jimmy Pitts is a modern day piano genius and reminds me of Jordan Rudess yet I find him more interesting to listen to and what really needs to be said about former " Power Of Omens " drummer Alex Arellano other than he is one of the all time great drummers. The bass playing is astonishing and each guest musician adds their part to the whole piece. As you can see by this review is that I love this style of music with all it's freedom of speech so to speak. This music might not be to everybodys taste as it is very far removed from the average, but if you like bands like " Spaced Out " " Planet X " Counter World Experience " then you will adore this piece of work ( A bit of self expression never hurts imo ) make sure you treat yourself to a copy ASAP!!
