Another great prog act from Italy, The global village was an album I had heard about and couldn't wait to get a copy, When I finally did ( 2 years later ) I wasn't dissapointed in the slightest. They are immensely talented with Gianni Guerra guitarwork amazing, Living haxadecimal attests to that. He also plays with great feel. The vocals are good without being great and the songs are well written. This band disbanded leaving us with a feeling of what could have been, I guess we will never know!!!

Turn of Fate is a promo cd by Dutch band Alerion, A female fronted prog rock/metal band. I only have 2 songs to go on but i can get a fair guide to this bands style and i think they have good potential, vocalist Maaike Siegerist has a very sweet voice and will definately appeal to most music fans, and its also refreshing to see they are not following in the style of Nightwish or Evanessence which alot of female fronted bands have, this is very laid back prog and i look forward to hearing the finished article. Some very tateful guitarwork aswell.

Turn of Fate was recorded at Storm Studio and produced by Kevin Storm in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Cover design by Milja van Hooft, original photo of the glass of wine by Krzysztof Natalicz. First released online on February 22nd, 2009.

Line-up on Turn of Fate:
Maaike Siegerist - Vocals
Bas Willemsen - Lead & rhythm guitars
Paul Bouman - Keys
Ronald van Schaik - Bass guitars
Lennert Stap - Drums
