Cynics long awaited second release showcases again why this band are such an influence to so many other  bands. 15 years is a long time to wait for their fans, but I think they will be quite happy with the end product. The technical side is still there, as are the robotic like growls, awesome riffs and magnificent drumming,- pretty much what we have come to expect from Cynic after their Magnum Opus Focus. 

I don't think this album is as good as Focus though, as that really is a hard act to follow, but will still please fans nonetheless. Another minus is the length of the cd, 34 minutes,these days that is just way too short, even though bands like Necrophagist and The Faceless don't stretch much more than 35, maybe it's a Tech Death thing? I am glad after all these years the band had another album in them and extensive tours are in the offing, great to see them back and lets hope it's not another 15 years before we hear them again!!
